Introduction

Saab’s rally sport success during last century’s 1950’s formed the direct inspiration for the founding of Saab Club Nederland in 1959. The first Saab club in the world! Half a century has passed since and the club with its 2000 members still is as active as ever, open to all Saab enthousiasts.

Marking its 50th anniversary Saab Club Nederland is organising the International Saab Meeting from August  7th to August 9th 2009, to be held in one of the most pleasant rural areas of the Netherlands.

Restaurant Ijsselhoeve located at the IJsselstrand camp site in Doesburg Gelderland, has been chosen as the Meeting’s headquarters.

Located in a rural area in the East of our country just due North of the city of Arnhem and on the banks of the river Ijssel, makes it easily reached via several motorways. Even a marina is at your disposal!

The National Parks Veluwezoom and Hoge Veluwe, holding many a tourist’s spot, well-know cities such as Apeldoorn, Arnhem and even Germany’s Bocholt are only a few kilometers away. A little bit further afield but within easy reach is the famous Dutch polder province of  Flevoland, offering interesting and even Saab-related venues, which will be incorporated in the festivities program.

The venue itself offers an indoor children’s playground, a sandy beach as well as a boat launch area. In short there is something on offer for every member of the family.

Saab Club Nederland would like to most cordially invite you to participate in the 2009 International Saab Club Meeting.

As we say in Dutch “Tot ziens in Doesburg!”, “See you in Doesburg”, “Wir sehen uns in Doesburg”, “A bientôt á Doesburg!
